ELO Digital Office GmbH is a subsidiary of the Louis Leitz Group, and has emerged as one of Europe’s leading vendors of storage and archiving systems, and suppliers of office products. An independent company, ELO Digital Office GmbH develops products and solutions in the areas of electronic document management and digital archiving, which it sells through a comprehensive network of distributors, dealers and integration specialists.
Under the product name ELO® - Electronic Leitz Organizer - document management and archiving solutions are offered to public authorities, local councils, tax consultants, lawyers, auditors, the trade sector, industry, service providers, administration, banks, insurance companies and publishing houses. The products range from an entry-level solution for SMBs (ELOoffice) through to the highly scalable modular client/server systems for large corporations (ELOprofessional and ELOenterprise). ELO products are being used increasingly in large groups in many different sectors, thanks to their high performance potential. Among the better known clients are companies such as Lufthansa, MAN, ALSTOM, Debitel, BMW, EADS, DaimlerChrysler, Zott, Südzucker AG, Commerzbank, the Greek National Bank, BDI, DRK, BKK and state and federal authorities. In addition, ELO Digital Office GmbH develops special software products for the Esselte/Leitz Group, for traditional file management. The Louis Leitz group of companies was bought by the Swedish Esselte AB in August 1998. As a consequence, ELO Digital Office GmbH was demerged to form an independent company.
